At the Denver Sportsmen’s show several years ago I ran into my good friend Jeff Currier. He was working on a watercolor. I knew Jeff was talented; however I did not know that he was a gifted artist. He was applying the final spots on a Snake River Cutthroat that was the best trout painting I had ever seen. I begged him to sell it to me, and he did but with a look on his face like, “I can actually sell my paintings?” Since that day I have commissioned Jeff to paint at least 15 more fish. The paintings are as good as it gets. I could not be more pleased, and they make my fishing room a real work of art.

Jeff Currier's Fly Fishing Adventure DVDs

Jeff Currier is introducing his first mass produced fly fishing adventure DVD, "Canadian Cats & Carp".

On this exotic angling adventure Jeff Currier takes us North in search of both catfish and carp. He joins close friend and Winnipeg fly fishing instructor Stu Thompson on the Red River in Manitoba to learn his techniques. Also in this DVD Stu ties the "D.D.H. Leech", a holographic eyeful that he crafts just for catfish and carp. This DVD ends with a "How To" on the proper way to present wet flies in a downstream manner with expert Davy Wotton.

Winnipeg Pike Patrol

Jeff Currier hunts northern pike with fly fishing instructor Stu Thompson on the Winnipeg River System. In this DVD titled "Winnipeg Pike Patrol" they cast Stu’s big bright patterns to the stained river bays looking for takers. Stu Thompson is the fly tier, as well, and makes a long yellow streamer on this DVD that is his favorite for pike called the “Weedman’s Slider”. In the “How To” segment, Kelly Gallup has more tips on how and where to fish his home river, the Madison.
