Ken
Holder has been a member of Fly Fishing Team USA since 1997 where
he first joined the team as a volunteer at the 1997 World
Fly Fishing Championships and Conservation Symposium held in
September 1997 at Jackson Hole Wyoming. He has participated
in the Poland and Australia Championship events. He has also
fly fished in Cuba, Costa Rica, Bulgaria and throughout the
United States.
Ken Holder makes his USA home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and works in management at United Airlines
in San Francisco California as Manager of Aircraft
Components. Ken's
passport is overfilled with visa and entry stamps from more
than forty different countries in the world.
He enjoys traveling to fly fishing destinations
worldwide to photograph, fly fish and enjoy the natural
beauty found typically in remote rivers and streams. As a
child he enjoyed fishing the inland saltwater bays and
reservoirs of the east coast, spending many summers
discovering with his brother and father the enjoyment that
the sport could bring.
He is a member of the Jackson Hole Chapter of Trout
Unlimited and enjoys donating his time and talents to the
organization when time allows. In the fall and winter
seasons Ken enjoys going to the various fly fishing trade
shows found throughout the country and it is here he enjoys
promoting the team and learning what is new in the fly
fishing industry.
Ken Holder has shared his love and knowledge of fly fishing with
his many friends and acquaintances and has great joy when he
can "convert" someone to fly fishing.
Ken is Manager of
Fly Fishing Team USA and performs
numerous duties for the team when communicating with
sponsors, the press, international organizers or creating
team promotions like this web site.
