The foundation of Jeff's exciting fly fishing career has been by working over twenty years behind the counter at the Jack Dennis Fly Shop. Jeff has met thousands of anglers from throughout the world from novice to advanced. His greatest joy is to help folks catch fish on his home waters by breaking out the map and supplying simple advice.

In January 2009 Jeff was fishing Brazil’s Amazon River Basin with River Plate Outfitters. River Plate has been guiding anglers to this remote region since 1992. This was mainly a trip for peacock bass but as usual Jeff was in search of at least a few new species to add to his list.

Great news! IGFA has awarded Jeff the All-Tackle line class World Record for the 12.25 kgs (27lbs. 0 oz.) Himalayan Golden Mahseer he caught on May 29, 2008 on the Ramganga River of Northern India. Jeff caught the fish on his 8-weight with a Morrish sculpin pattern on 13.2lb. Rio tippet. On this same very day, Jeff nearly became dinner for a Bengal Tiger! Jeff is back from Mongolia and what a trip! Jeff and friends float fished for nearly three weeks covering about 160 miles on one of the worlds most remote rivers. They were the first ever to fish this part of Mongolia and during the expedition caught taimen, pike, lenok and grayling. Enjoy Jeff's trip report and numerous photos from the trip!
