Usually when Jeff sets off on a foreign journey its for some crazy looking saltwater fish species or toothy kind from a far-flung jungle. But the more Jeff learned about the rare and beautiful marble trout (Salmo marmoratus) the more he realized he needed to hold one. Soon enough Jeff and his longtime mentor, friend and Polish nymph fishing legend Vladi Trzebunia, headed for Europe’s trout Mecca and former Yugoslavia region to fish the healthiest threshold of the marble trout.
Join Jeff and Vladi as they fish some of Slovenia’s famous rivers including the Soča, Reka Baču and the Idrijca. They also crossed over to the Kupa River in Croatia. During the adventure they find big rainbow trout, stunning brown trout, European grayling and of course, the marble trout.
