It was a pleasure to be back in Minnesota at the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo this past weekend. I shared headliner speaking duties with friend and well-known author and angler, George Daniel. We both presented numerous presentations over three days and all were well attended by fun folks eager to learn new techniques and places to fly fish.
The Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo is smaller than some of the big “Fly Fishing Shows” such as NJ and Denver, but as a speaker, I love it because there’s more time to meet and chat with everyone. George and I hung at our booth between talks. I cranked out Sharpie art on Cliff Fly Boxes with fish ranging from tarpon to common carp. A special thanks goes out to Carl Haensel and crew for organizing this show and the fine people of the area that attended.
Now it’s a mere 48 hours at home then off to Great Falls, MT to speak to the Missouri River Flyfishers then to Canada for the grand finale of the 2024 winter speaking tour. And then, perhaps I’ll head fishing on the other side of the Earth!
