Granny and I are back to Moms house in snowy Wolfeboro, NH today through Wednesday and I will use it to get caught up on blogs. Expect me to finish posting about my outstanding Yellow Dog hosted trip to Gabon with my friends at African Waters. I’m sorry to make everyone wait on these but I definitely put myself in a predicament with cutting it so close between returning from Gabon and delivering six presentations at The Marlboro MA Fly Fishing Show.
I’m happy to say the show was fantastic. Since the pandemic the East Coast Shows have been a little sluggish in comparison to before. This weekend however the attendance was the best I can remember including even the shows before 2020. Seminars were well attended; the aisles were packed and between entertaining I pushed the sharpies on fly boxes and backpacks. A highlight for me was drawing my first ever Striped Surubi Catfish for Augustine from Argentina.
That’s all for now. Time to tap back into my Gabon photos and read my day by day notes from the trip and piece together the reports. Between writing Granny, Mom and I plan to play in the snow and enjoy some of Wolfeboro’s fine dining and tasty local brews!
Jeff,
Enjoy your stay in snowy New England

Thanks Tad. We will for sure!
Jeff! That Suribim is lit! I want one. Just cast to a bunch a few days ago and had a great follow. Unfortunately, still waiting for my first.
Thanks Randy! That art was a challenge but I’m happy with how it came out. I’ve had one near eat from a striped surubi but never came tight. It was a huge one in Venezuela. Someday I hope.
