Congrats to one of the top companies in all of fly fishing. Today is Scientific Anglers 80th Anniversary and they celebrated in style with a party at the SA facility right there in Midland, Michigan. Granny and are honored to have been invited and fortunate that we were able to time our trip to Pennsylvania to pick up our freebee drift boat to correlate with the festivity.
The get-together was four hours of fun with a barbeque and some local beer. For me and Granny it was a treat to connect with some longtime friends we’ve not seen in a while. The party wrapped up around 4 pm and we headed over to one of SA’s top guns house for the eve, Joe Wolthuis. If you read the blog you should know Joe because he and I fish for coaster brook trout and lakers out of the Ontario side of Lake Superior twice in the past and we were in Brazil together last November.
One more thing I’d like to point out from the party, is the beautiful fish mural painted literally this week but fellow fish artist, Aaron Chine. Seriously, Aaron did this in five days. Five!
That’s all for today. Tomorrow Granny and I will drive straight to Pittsburgh to pick up our new boat!
